Terms of Service

Last updated: October 5, 2026

About the Service

The service helps professionals create pages that are easier for AI systems, search systems, recruiters, partners, investors, and other people to read and understand.

A profile page may include professional information, public sources, user-provided details, confirmations from other people, profile improvement advice, visibility checks, monitoring, statistics, and paid tools.

Humandex is designed as a user-controlled profile creation and publication service. The service may identify and organize public professional information, but the user reviews the draft, confirms likely profile matches, selects what to publish, and controls whether the profile remains public.

Agreement

By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.

The service is currently intended for users in the United States, for lawful professional use, and for people who are at least 18 years old.

Your Account

You are responsible for the information you provide, the changes you make, the publication choices you make, and for keeping your account secure.

You should provide accurate information, use your real professional identity, and not create fake or misleading profiles.

You may not impersonate another person, submit information that you know is false, use the service to mislead others, or use another person's information without a lawful and appropriate reason.

What the Service Does

The service may help you:

Some features are free. Some features may require a paid subscription.

What the Service Does Not Do

The service is not a background check service, a consumer reporting agency, or an automated hiring decision tool.

The service does not decide whether a person should be hired, rejected, promoted, selected, funded, trusted, approved, or otherwise treated as eligible or ineligible.

A public Humandex profile is intended to be a user-reviewed and user-published professional presentation. It is not an independent report prepared for an employer or another third party to determine eligibility for employment, credit, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

The service does not guarantee profile visibility, job offers, recruiter interest, investor interest, search ranking, AI ranking, or any specific professional result.

Information Used by the Service

The service may use information you provide, public professional information, information received from providers that help operate the service, confirmations from other people, technical data, and information created inside the product.

This may include name, email address, profile links, work history, job titles, companies, projects, skills, achievements, sources, profile text, edits, invitations, confirmations, statistics, visibility checks, and subscription status.

The service may use your name, email address, or profile links as search inputs to identify likely public professional profiles associated with you. This does not mean that every search uses all of these inputs.

Your email address is not included in your public profile unless you separately choose to publish it.

Public Sources and External Platforms

The service is designed to use public professional information that is available without logging into an external account, using a password or authentication cookie, or bypassing technical access restrictions.

For public-source collection, the service does not request or use your external-platform password, authentication cookie, or active session credentials to retrieve information.

The service is not designed to bypass authentication, access controls, CAPTCHA, robots restrictions, or similar technical measures.

The service does not claim ownership of external websites, interfaces, logos, trademarks, page designs, or third-party materials. It generally uses professional facts and source references rather than reproducing substantial portions of third-party text, posts, recommendations, photographs, page layouts, or other expressive content.

Your confirmation that a public profile belongs to you permits the service to use that profile as a source for your draft. It does not by itself grant permission to copy content owned by another person, an external platform, or another rights holder.

Providers That Help Operate the Service

The service may use providers to retrieve, process, enrich, host, analyze, verify, deliver, secure, or store information.

These providers may receive information reasonably necessary to perform the requested function. Depending on the feature, this may include search inputs such as your name, email address, or profile links.

External providers operate their own services and may have their own systems, terms, availability, security practices, and privacy policies. Humandex remains responsible for its own collection, disclosure, and instructions to providers to the extent required by applicable law.

The service does not control original websites, external platforms, public sources, external databases, search engines, AI systems, or other outside systems.

If information received from a provider or public source is incorrect, outdated, incomplete, incorrectly attributed, or not about you, you can edit it, hide it, dispute it, remove it, or delete your profile where the product allows it.

User Verification and Profile Matching

The service may take steps to verify that a user is connected to the identity, email address, public page, handle, profile, or professional information they are trying to create, claim, edit, or publish.

Verification and profile matching may use internal checks, public signals, email verification, profile links, account activity, manual review, technical signals, providers that help operate the service, or other reasonable methods.

When the service identifies a likely public professional profile, it may ask you to confirm whether the profile belongs to you. A possible match is not treated as confirmed until you approve it.

Verification and user confirmation are safety and trust measures used to reduce impersonation, spam, abuse, and fake profiles. They do not guarantee that every fact in a profile is correct.

The service may refuse, pause, limit, hide, or remove a profile if verification fails or if there is a reasonable concern about identity, ownership, accuracy, abuse, or legal risk.

Profile Address and Username

A profile may have a public address, handle, slug, nickname, or similar identifier.

The service may allow a user to occupy one address that includes the original spelling of their nickname, name, surname, or professional identity. The service does not guarantee that any specific address will be available or provided.

The service may reserve, limit, refuse, change, remove, or reclaim an address when needed for security, impersonation prevention, trademark issues, abuse prevention, product reasons, or user support.

Having a real name, nickname, brand name, public identity, or similar spelling does not automatically create a right to a specific address or to any special product option connected to that address.

AI Text and Analysis

The service may use AI tools to summarize, rewrite, classify, organize, compare, or explain professional information.

AI text can be useful, but it can also be incomplete or wrong. You should review AI-generated text before publishing or relying on it.

The service may distinguish between information supported by a public source, information confirmed by you, information confirmed by another person, and text generated or interpreted by AI.

Your approval authorizes publication of the selected information but does not independently prove that the information is objectively accurate.

The service may show source labels, user-confirmed labels, confidence labels, improvement suggestions, visibility checks, comparison results, or other signals. These are product features, not final judgments about a person.

Publishing and Editing

A draft profile is not intended to be public until you choose to publish it.

Before publication, you can review, edit, hide, remove, or dispute information and choose which profile sections will be public.

By choosing to publish, you:

You control whether your profile is published, hidden, edited, unpublished, or deleted.

You are responsible for statements, edits, materials, and publication choices that you directly provide, make, or approve. This allocation of responsibility does not eliminate responsibilities that Humandex may have under applicable law for its own processing, security, product design, or conduct.

You should not publish false, misleading, confidential, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harmful information.

The service may hide, limit, or remove content if it creates a reasonable concern about abuse, impersonation, spam, safety, privacy, infringement, legal risk, or violation of these Terms.

Deleting Your Profile

The service includes self-service profile deletion.

You can delete your profile yourself inside the product. When you do this, the profile is removed from public access and related profile data begins to be removed from active systems.

Some limited information may remain for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute handling, support, legal reasons, backups, or compliance.

Deleting a profile from the service does not delete the same information from original websites, search engines, AI systems, screenshots, archives, or third-party copies outside the service.

Confirmations and Vouches

The service may allow users to invite other people to confirm professional relationships, work history, achievements, or reputation.

If you invite someone, you should have a real professional reason to contact them. Invitations should not be used for spam, pressure, harassment, or misleading claims.

If you connect your Google contacts, the service suggests people who may have worked with you. You decide who receives an invitation, and you confirm that you actually know each person you select. The service sends invitations on your behalf only to the people you select. How contact data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

A person who provides a confirmation may request removal where the product allows it. The service may hide or remove confirmations that appear inaccurate, abusive, disputed, or unsafe.

Paid Services

The service may offer free and paid features.

Free features may include a public AI-readable profile, publishing controls, basic profile management, invitations for confirmations, a baseline check, and limited statistics.

Paid services may include profile improvement tools, full editing, full statistics, AI visibility monitoring, weekly reports, market comparison, history, alerts, and a combined plan with several services in one dashboard.

Current paid services may include:

Prices, features, limits, names, and billing terms may change. The current offer is shown before purchase.

Subscriptions and Cancellation

If you buy a subscription, you agree to the price, billing cycle, renewal terms, and cancellation terms shown at checkout.

You can cancel future renewals through the product or payment provider. Cancellation stops future charges. It does not automatically refund past payments unless required by law or allowed by the refund policy.

Acceptable Use

You should use the service for lawful professional purposes.

You should not use it to:

The service may limit or suspend access if there is a reasonable concern about misuse.

No Employment Decision Use

The service should not be used as the basis for hiring, rejecting, promoting, demoting, transferring, selecting, or otherwise determining a person's eligibility for employment.

Employers, recruiters, agencies, and other users should not treat the service as a background check, consumer report, independent verification report, or automated decision tool.

The availability of a user-published public profile does not authorize any person to use the service in a manner regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or another eligibility-decision law.

Your Content

You keep ownership of information and materials you provide, subject to any rights held by other people or organizations.

You allow the service to use, process, store, reproduce, adapt, and display your information as reasonably necessary to:

If you publish your profile, you allow the service to display and distribute the published version until you hide, unpublish, or delete it, subject to copies and caches outside the service's control.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions reasonably necessary for materials you upload, write, edit, or directly provide.

Your approval of a public source does not transfer ownership of that source or of third-party content to you or to Humandex.

Service Materials

The software, design, interface, product logic, workflows, analysis methods, prompts, systems, and service materials belong to the service or its licensors.

You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or exploit the service without permission.

Availability and Changes

The service may change over time. Features, prices, checks, limits, profile formats, providers, AI tools, statistics, and paid services may be updated, removed, or replaced.

The service may be unavailable at times because of maintenance, errors, provider issues, technical problems, or other reasons.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

The service does not promise that all information will be accurate, that a possible profile match will be correct, that AI text will be correct, that public or external sources will remain available, that search engines will update quickly, or that professional outcomes will improve.

Public information can be incomplete, outdated, incorrectly attributed, or wrong. User confirmation reduces the risk of incorrect matching but does not guarantee the accuracy of every fact.

You should check important information before relying on it.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages.

This includes lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, reputational harm, business interruption, employment outcomes, or decisions made by third parties.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid in the three months before the claim or 100 U.S. dollars.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

If the changes are important, notice may be provided through the product or by email.

Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
